The ScanMaker 6800 with integrated Digital ICE™

technology for Photo Prints is the world’s rst atbed

scanner designed to restore photos as it scans. Microtek

has built ASF’s Digital ICE™ technology into the hardware

and software of the scanner allowing it to automatically

map, identify and dramatically reduce unwanted surface

defects on your photo scans. In just one step, the

ScanMaker 6800 corrects most scratches, creases, tears

and cracks commonly found on photo print surfaces,

while also removing dust and lint.

Most people would not even attempt to correct

damaged photos. Restoring them by hand would either

take many hours of painstaking work or the services

of an expensive photo restoration bureau. Now with

the ScanMaker 6800, you can get amazing results in a

fraction of the time.

• Digital ICE™ for Photo Prints

For the first time ever, it is possible to reduce unwanted

surface defects from your photographic prints, automatcally.

• Image Registration Technology

Unique Microtek technology which maintains perfect mechanical

operation of the scanner during its life (see page 3).

• Up to 2400 x 4800dpi Optical Resolution

This extremely high resolution allows small areas of print or film

to be magnified to retrieve large amounts of image detail.

• True 48-bit Colour Resolution

48-bit colour produces detailed, vibrant results.

• 5”x 4” TMA with FilmView

A 5”x 4” transparency adaptor enables positive and negative film

scanning. A FilmView lightlid allows film to be visually previewed.

• FireWire and USB 2.0 Connections

FireWire and USB 2 both share very high speed credentials.

Backward compatibility with USB 1.1 enables this scanner to

connect to most modern computers. A FireWire card is included for Windows.

• Five Front Buttons for Mac & Windows

Scan, Copy, Email, WWW and instant OCR support (see next page).

• Adobe Photoshop

™

Elements

Image Editing, OCR and Image database management are all

included from Adobe (Photoshop Elements), Ulead and ABBYY.
